Aliens

Natural Abilities
Inborn traits not achieved through work or study. They include any one of the following:

Important: When creating an alien species, if you do not select a special ability, you will instead automatically gain 1D6+2 extra characteristic points which may be placed in any characteristic(s) of your choosing. You may also elect to buy one additional special ability by spending 10 points out of your starting 40.

Multi-Form
A transformation that is automatically triggered by a life threatening situation. A higher form is activated for the first time when the current form has been depleted down to at least one half of its total Hits. This increases your current Power Level, Physical, and Combat.

Power Level Ki Mental Physical Combat Move Skills Defense Hits
Form 2 Base * 2 Base + 2% Base Base + 20% Base + 20% Base Base Base Base
Form 3 Base * 6 Base + 6% Base Base + 60% Base + 60% Base Base Base Base
Form 4 Base * 24 Base + 24% Base Base + 240% Base + 240% Base Base Base Base
Form 5 Base * 120 Base + 120% Base Base + 1,200% Base + 1,200% Base Base Base Base

Changing forms takes 1D6 + 1 phases, during which the character cannot attack or perform another action (they can maintain a Deflection which was generated beforehand).

Once a form has been unlocked, a character can attempt to activate it by will by rolling a 2D6 at the start of a phase - on a roll of 4 or less, they have triggered the transformation immediately. If failed, they may re-roll each phase until they succeed.

  • Note: Forms cannot be skipped and must be activated in sequence.
  • Note: Some forms may require additional prerequisites to unlock in addition to - or as a substitution of - life being threatened.
  • Example: Stripe starts with a Power Level of 250,000 and has three additional forms. This will give him the following Power Level jumps:
    • Form 1 - 250,000 (Base Power Level)
    • Form 2 - 500,000 (Base Power Level * 2)
    • Form 3 - 1,500,000 (Form 2 Power Level * 3)
    • Form 4 - 6,000,000 (Form 3 Power Level * 4)

Omega Form
If an alien - Changeling or otherwise - is able to accomplish the incredible feat of tapping into the power of the gods, they are able to access an Omega form, multiplying their Power Level by an incredible 1,020 times, and increasing their Physical and Combat by 10,200%. An example of this is Frieza unlocking his Golden form. The following conditions must apply:

  • The Alien's Base Power Level must be a minimum of 1,000,000.
  • The Alien's Power total must be a minimum of 400.

Power Level Ki Mental Physical Combat Move Skills Defense Hits
Omega Base * 1,020 Base + 1,020% Base Base + 10,200% Base + 10,200% Base Base Base Base

  • Note: The Omega form is an extremely inefficient use of ki, placing a massive strain on a user's body. For each phase the transformation is active, a user burns 10% of their Maximum ki and Hits.

Monster Form
A multiplier form available to non-Changeling aliens, multiplying their Power Level by 10, and increasing their Physical, Combat, and Hits and Defense by 100%. The Monster Form only lasts 1D6 + 10 phases and requires 1 hour between transformations (transforming takes two phases, with the same restrictions as a multi-form transformation).

Power Level Ki Mental Physical Combat Move Skills Defense Hits
Monster Form Base * 10 Base + 10% Base Base + 100% Base + 100% Base Base Base Base + 100%

Mastering Forms
A character masters forms through practice and repetition. After one complete month of training, the character attempts to become their new form on command by rolling a 4 or less. If successful, the number the character must roll on subsequent attempts increases by 2. If failed, the character must train for another month and try again. Eventually, once the character has increased this number to 12, the character may become that form at will.

  • Note: A mastered form no longer automatically triggers, but is a choice offered to a character if they are reduced to half their total Hits. They are in control.
